These are the works of experts working in the field of mechanical engineering on the Project "Research, design, manufacture and put into operation a number of auxiliary systems of coal-fired thermal power plants. Unit capacity of about 600 MW "was discussed and evaluated. In order to present and exchange thoroughly for each item, the presentations of experts were divided into 3 divisions:
 
Division 1, by TS. Phan Dang Phong, Director, Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering is in charge of discussing the issue of "Localization of CHS, AHS and Fire protection systems". With 11 presentations on issues such as localization of loading and unloading system, coal transportation for coal-fired thermal power plants (5 articles); Localization of ash slag disposal system for coal-fired thermal power plants (3 presentations); Localization of fire protection for coal-fired thermal power plants (3 presentations).

At Division 2, led by Assoc. Nguyen Chi Sang, Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Mechanical Enterprises, presided over the discussion on "Building mechanism for implementation of Thermal Power Plant Project applying mechanism 1791 and setting up technical design of plant. "consists of 7 presentations with two main contents: Building mechanism for implementing the project of thermoelectric power plant building mechanism 1791 and Making technical design for coal-fired thermal power plant.

Division 3, by TS. Vu Van Khoa, Deputy Director of the Institute of Mechanical Research, is in charge of discussing "Localization of FGD systems, chimneys, circulating cooling water, distribution outlets up to 500kv and integrated secondary systems for home." coal-fired thermal power plants ". With 7 presentations on content: Localization of FGD system, Localization of smoke exhaust systems, Localization of circulating cooling water systems and Localization of outlet distribution stations up to 500KV and system integration Second for coal-fired thermal power plants.

In general, the researches of the Mechanical Research Institute have outlined the difficulties and problems, and at the same time have important solutions for the good results of the research, design and manufacture of mechanical engineering.
 
Result
 
Speaking at the seminar, PhD. Phan Dang Phong, Director of the Institute of Mechanical Research, said that localization of equipment is considered as an important solution to promote the domestic mechanical engineering industry to develop and master new technologies. In recent years, mechanical businesses have been trying their best to improve the capacity of designing and manufacturing equipment for thermal power plants as well as overcoming difficulties to find jobs and addresses. Applying research results and achieving some remarkable results.

Typically, with the goal of gradually mastering the technology and towards the complete localization of equipment in coal-fired thermal power plants, the Mechanical Research Institute is assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Science and Technology. implementing the national project "Researching, designing, manufacturing, assembling and putting into operation the system of coal loading and unloading for coal-fired thermal power plants with the generating capacity of up to about 600 MW". After more than 5 years of implementation, under the direction and direction of the Institute's leaders, the efforts of scientists inside and outside the institute, the coal loading and unloading system for Song Hau 1 thermal power plant has been and being completed on schedule, quality assurance, appreciated by the investor and the General EPC contractor.
 
In addition, if previously, in coal-fired thermal power plants built, electrostatic precipitators were supplied by foreign contractors. But with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Trade from the state-level science and technology program, the Institute of Mechanical Research has successfully implemented the project "Perfecting the design and manufacturing technology and trial-making technology". electrostatic dust test 1,000,000 Nm3 / h with localization rate up to 90% in volume, the quality of electrostatic precipitators is equivalent to European standards, G7. Electrostatic precipitator has been applied directly to Vung Ang 1 and Thai Binh 1 thermal power projects and is being supplied to Nghi Son 2 thermal power plant and exported to Myanmar as well as Supply spare parts for thermal power plants, cement.
 
Besides, Vietnam Machinery Installation Corporation (LILAMA) has implemented the project "Researching, designing, manufacturing and putting into operation smoke exhaust systems for thermal power plants."
